Blu pours on the tapas, sangria and Flamenco dancing . . . If you have a fondness for fine footwork and food, you should check out Blu Italian Grille's (280 W. Jefferson St.) monthly Spanish Night. On the second Friday of each month, from 7 to 9 p.m., Blu serves a special tapas menu and house-made sangria while Flamenco Louisville, a local dance and musical group, performs.
"It's an intense experience to watch," said Royston Green, restaurant manager at Blu, located in the Louisville Marriott Downtown. ( . . . ) "The dancers come right up to the tables where everyone is eating."
Green called a new Spanish Night cold and hot tapas menu created by chef Quang Dinh "just amazing and surprisingly well priced," adding that prices per plate run from $7 to $18. Sangria is sold by the glass and the pitcher, and special bottles of Spanish wines are available. Reservations are strongly suggested.
The restaurant is open 5-10 p.m. To make reservations, call 671-4282 or 671-4285.
